N42 is a sintered NdFeB grade that sits between N35 and N52 in maximum energy product.
Where N42 is used
N42 appears in sensors, small motors, pumps, precision assemblies, couplings and compact holding parts.
N42 vs N52
A higher grade number is not automatically better. N52 costs more and is often unnecessary when N42 already meets the required force, size and temperature limits.
